Need a hand with SmartStaff for Zoho? Find a few quick tips below, or get in touch with questions, bug reports, and suggestions.
Getting started
- Sign in to Zoho People in Chrome.
- Open the extension and go to Settings. Paste your Time log URL and Week time logs URL.
- Set your Daily required hours (for example, 7.30) and Working days (usually 5).
- Save your settings, then select Refresh.
Click the extension icon to use the popup. Enable “Show on every page” if you want the floating panel, and drag its grip to move it. The green ring shows your weekly logged time against your weekly goal.
Having trouble?
- Check that the extension is enabled and has the site access it needs in Chrome's extension settings.
- Confirm you are still signed in to Zoho People and can open your configured time-log pages.
- If the timer or attendance status looks outdated, select Refresh. The header reload refreshes the page and extension.
- If weekly progress looks incorrect, check your daily required hours, working days, and Week time logs URL.
- If the floating panel is missing, enable “Show on every page” and try a regular website tab. Chrome restricts extensions on some pages, including its internal settings pages.
- Review optional minute buffers if check-out or time-log switches do not behave as you expect.
